WHAT THEY WORE..

..For a special (smart) family get- together

Evening all! I hope you’ve had a nice weekend. It goes too fast doesn’t it? It’s been particularly grey here and we were partied out so we’ve been swimming this afternoon and eaten lots of biscuits.

This week’s #whattheywore is quite a smart one as we were at at a family birthday party in the Lake District. It was a boiling hot day and the kids threw all formality out of the window and spent most of the afternoon prancing around naked after cooling off in the lake!! Here are some snaps while they were still fully clothed..

What Hattie & Rose wore

The girls wore identical outfits – these little dresses are a beautiful style, good quality and such a bargain. They looked really cute with the sand Menorcan sandals but would also go with a mary jane for a cooler day. I featured this whole look on my girls’ summer post 🙂

  1. Next smocked dress £16
  2.  Pisamonas Sandals £21.95
  3. Trotters navy hair bow

Now, Rupert was a tad hot in his long sleeves but it was cold when we set off from Yorkshire at 10am!! Hate it when that happens.

Anyhow, his outfit is from Neck& Neck. I did a massive haul there in the sale (they do amazing sales) , but it’s no longer available. So I’ve tried to recreate the same look with items which are in stock from other stores.

What Rupert wore

  1. Trotters shirt with piped peter pan collar £21
  2. Next dungarees £16 – these come with the most horrific t-shirt (and bow tie!!!!!!!) you have EVER seen. Dispose of these immediately. The shorts however are totally cute and can be worn with a plain white bodysuit/ tshirt for a more casual style
  3. La Coqueta mid- blue ribbed ribbed socks £6
  4. Amy & Ivor cinammon Traveller moccs £40
